Who is Umut Var Association?
Umut Var Association is an Istanbul-based humanitarian organisation founded in 2021. It delivers food, water, health, education and clothing aid in Türkiye, Afghanistan and several African countries, including Madagascar, Somalia, Tanzania, Nigeria and Chad.

The challenge
Donors write at all hours, often right after seeing a campaign, and each of them expects a quick and personal answer. During campaign periods the volume multiplies, and a small team cannot reply to everyone by hand while also sending updates from the field.

Opted-in supporters receive campaign messages and updates from the field as WhatsApp broadcasts, and their replies come straight back into the inbox.
Results
Since February 2025 Umut Var has held more than 390,000 donor conversations and exchanged over 21 million messages on MonoChat, sending more than 6,600 campaigns. In the last 30 days alone more than 800,000 messages went through the platform.
