A WhatsApp Business API partner program lets agencies, consultants and integrators earn money every month from the clients they bring to a messaging platform. The MonoChat Partner Program pays a recurring commission of 15% to 40%, set by how many active paying customers you have, and the higher rate applies to your whole portfolio as soon as you move up a tier. You can withdraw earnings or use them as MonoChat balance, and you can apply at /partnership.
This guide explains why WhatsApp and AI automation have become a strong service line for agencies in 2026, how MonoChat’s commission tiers actually work, what you can sell and build around the platform, and what a realistic month of partner earnings looks like using only the figures published on MonoChat’s site.
Why WhatsApp and AI automation is a strong agency service line in 2026
Businesses rarely struggle to get customer messages. They struggle to answer them: too many chats, spread across too many channels, with too little automation. That is a problem agencies and consultants can explain in one sentence and solve in a few weeks.
Three things make this a good line of business right now:
- Demand is already there. Companies want WhatsApp automation, AI support, a shared inbox for WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok and web chat, and tools for template campaigns. You are not creating a need; you are meeting one.
- The revenue is recurring. Messaging software is a subscription. A client who runs their support and sales on it keeps paying month after month, which turns a one-off project into a long-term relationship.
- The rules reward expertise. WhatsApp Business API messaging has real complexity. Since July 1, 2025, Meta charges per message rather than per conversation, with rates set by template category (marketing, utility, authentication) and the recipient’s country, plus specific rules about the 24-hour customer service window and free entry points from Click-to-WhatsApp ads. Meta keeps adjusting these rules. Clients who don’t want to track WhatsApp API pricing themselves will pay someone who does.
Add AI on top, with assistants that answer from a knowledge base, qualify leads or book appointments, and the scope of a messaging project grows from “connect a number” to “redesign how this business talks to customers.”
How does the MonoChat Partner Program work?
The model is deliberately simple. It follows four steps:
- Introduce MonoChat to businesses that need WhatsApp, Instagram, web chat, AI assistants, automations or customer support workflows.
- Customers become active. Your portfolio grows when the businesses you refer become active paying MonoChat customers.
- Your tier increases. Your commission rate is calculated from your active paying customer count, not from revenue volume.
- You earn across your portfolio. The higher rate applies to every active customer in your partner portfolio.
Because the tier depends on customer count, the model rewards both acquisition and retention. Every client you keep active counts toward your rate.
MonoChat partner commission tiers
These are the six tiers published on the Partner Program page:
| Tier | Active paying customers | Commission | Min / month | Max / month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | 1–5 | 15% | $18 | $2,047 |
| Tier 2 | 6–10 | 20% | $144 | $5,460 |
| Tier 3 | 11–15 | 25% | $330 | $10,237 |
| Tier 4 | 16–30 | 30% | $576 | $20,570 |
| Tier 5 | 31–50 | 35% | $1,302 | $47,775 |
| Tier 6 | 51+ | 40% | $2,448+ | Higher |
MonoChat notes that monthly earning potential can vary with billing cycle, custom enterprise projects, support plans, development packs and additional package sales. Treat the minimum and maximum columns as ranges, not guarantees.
What makes this recurring commission partner program different
Many partner programs pay a higher rate only on customers you sign after reaching a threshold, or make you wait for a quarterly review. MonoChat’s published rules work differently:
- No old/new customer distinction
- No manual tier approval
- No waiting period for upgrades
- Commission applies portfolio-wide
- Transparent tracking in the dashboard
- Existing MonoChat customers can become partners too
The portfolio-wide rule is the one that matters most. When you move from 20% to 25%, the new rate applies to all your active paying customers, not just the next one you sign.
A worked example: what a partner can earn per month
The tier table’s minimum column lines up with MonoChat’s Growth plan, which is listed at $120 per month on the pricing page. For example, Tier 1’s $18 minimum is 15% of $120, and Tier 2’s $144 is six customers × $120 × 20%. That gives a clean way to see how the tiers behave.
Imagine a small agency whose clients are all on the Growth plan:
| Situation | Active paying customers | Tier and rate | Monthly commission |
|---|---|---|---|
| First clients onboarded | 5 | Tier 1, 15% | 5 × $120 × 15% = $90 |
| Portfolio grows | 10 | Tier 2, 20% | 10 × $120 × 20% = $240 |
| One more client signs | 11 | Tier 3, 25% | 11 × $120 × 25% = $330 |
| Steady state | 16 | Tier 4, 30% | 16 × $120 × 30% = $576 |
Look at the step from 10 to 11 customers. One extra client adds $120 of subscription value, but monthly commission rises by $90, from $240 to $330, because the 25% rate now covers all eleven accounts. That is the portfolio-wide rule in action.
Real portfolios are rarely this uniform. Clients add agents and channels, choose annual billing or move to Enterprise, and MonoChat says earnings can also vary with support plans, development packs and package sales. For the precise billing basis, read the Partnership Program Guide (PDF) linked on the partner page.
Earnings, balance and withdrawals
MonoChat gives partners two ways to use what they earn:
- Withdraw earnings. Request a payout directly from the MonoChat partner dashboard and receive your earnings outside the platform.
- Use earnings as MonoChat balance. Transfer earnings to your MonoChat balance and spend them on subscriptions, premium support or AI token consumption.
The second option is useful when you run client projects on your own account. You can reinvest commission into AI usage or a support plan instead of paying for it separately. MonoChat’s announcement on partner earnings covers the details.
In the dashboard you can follow your active customer count, current tier, commission rate and earnings, so you always know how far you are from the next tier.
The MonoChat Partner Directory
The Partner Directory is where businesses look for a MonoChat partner near them. Each listing shows the partner’s type, city and country, a short description, specialties and industries, along with links to the partner’s website and contact details. Visitors can search by partner, city, specialty or industry, and filter by country and partner type: software company, digital agency, system integrator, consultancy, reseller or technology provider. Some partners carry a “Featured” badge.
For a partner, a directory profile is a lead source in its own right: a business that already wants MonoChat can find you by country and specialty. Mention your listing when you apply. The site does not describe a certification program, so talk to the partner team about how listings are added.
What partners can sell and build around MonoChat
Commission is only part of the business. MonoChat’s own positioning is “start with one channel, then expand into AI, automations, integrations, support and development work.” Here is how that becomes a service catalog:
| Service you offer | What you deliver | MonoChat capability it builds on |
|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp setup | Number onboarding, profile, opt-in plan, first templates | WhatsApp Business API |
| Flows and automation | Routing rules, follow-ups, lead capture, reminders | Workflow automation, WhatsApp Flows |
| AI assistants | Knowledge-base answers, lead qualification, booking | AI assistants and chatbots |
| Integrations | CRM, ERP, e-commerce and payment connections | Integrations, API and webhooks |
| Campaigns | Template campaigns, segmentation, reporting | Bulk messaging, analytics |
| Ongoing support | Monthly optimization and admin | MonoChat support plans |
For larger builds, MonoChat sells prepaid development packs delivered by its own engineers, and support plans that add faster SLAs and specialist access. You can bring these into client proposals when a project needs more capacity than your team has.
A typical first-week deliverable for a client might look like this:
Week 1 scope: WhatsApp support for a clinic
- Connect the clinic's WhatsApp number and Instagram account to one inbox
- Greeting flow with buttons: Book appointment / Prices / Talk to staff
- AI assistant answering from the clinic's FAQ and price list
- Hand-over to reception when the patient asks for a person
- Utility template for appointment reminders
If your clients ask how they get access in the first place, point them to how to get the WhatsApp Business API. If they want a bot, this WhatsApp chatbot guide is a good brief to share.
Who is the MonoChat partner program for?
The program is designed for teams that already help businesses sell, support or automate customer communication:
- Digital, web and marketing agencies that want to add AI messaging, automation and an omnichannel inbox to their client offering.
- System integrators and CRM/ERP consultants who deliver implementations with integrations, workflows and custom business logic.
- Consultants and freelancers who help clients improve customer communication and want recurring revenue alongside project fees.
- Software and technology resellers who want to sell MonoChat as a SaaS product with a clear commission model.
- Existing MonoChat customers who want to refer other businesses.
It fits less well if you want to resell under your own brand. The site doesn’t describe white label WhatsApp hosting, so the program is best for partners comfortable recommending MonoChat by name.
How to join the MonoChat Partner Program
- Review the program. Read the tiers and rules on the Partner Program page and download the Partnership Program Guide (PDF) for tier logic and examples.
